Elevated tank

The consumption of drinking water depends on the time of day and the season. To ensure that there is always enough water available, storage facilities such as elevated tanks are required. These are large closed tanks that are designed to compensate for these fluctuations in consumption.

Most of the time, more drinking water is consumed in peak hours than is extracted from springs or groundwater wells. In order to have sufficient drinking water even during peak hours, elevated tanks are installed.

The elevated tanks are large reservoirs for drinking water located above settlements. During the night, drinking water is collected and released during peak hours. In addition, the elevated tank must also provide extinguishing water for the fire brigade.
