Precipitation

Precipitation is an important component of the natural water cycle and influences our climate. How much precipitation falls depends on the geographical location.

Precipitation is water that falls from the atmosphere to the ground. It can occur in both liquid and solid form. Thus snow, hail, dew and rain are different forms of precipitation.

Precipitation is caused by flying dust particles on which water collects. If the particles are too heavy to float, they sink to the ground as precipitation.
