Rainwater usage
With the help of rainwater utilisation, drinking water can be saved. The rainwater flowing off the roof can be directed into above-ground or underground storage tanks like a rainwater barrel. The stored rainwater may only be used for non-drinking water applications. For example, the water can be used for irrigating plants or in the household for flushing toilets and washing laundry.
